Luxurious Lisbon Culinary Experience
The best way to truly experience a destination is through its cuisine. At the western edge of Europe, Portugal is a culturally rich country with vibrant cities and villages steeped in history. Experience Portuguese traditions with two culinary experiences. The first is a 3 hour small-group food and wine tour of Lisbon with a local guide. Sample tapas, cheese, local bread, marmalade, cod fish cakes, port wine, ginja liquor, red and green wine, and local beer. Portugal may be most famous for its ancient Port production, but the country's new wave of distillers are turning their attention to another spirit; gin. During this second experience, sip and learn about this botanical spirit and local wines in a unique 18th-century Moorish Palace.
Relax in style at the Pousada de Lisboa, a member of the "Small Luxury Hotels of the World Collection." Decorative touches evoke a sense of historical elegance throughout the over two-century-old building. Located in the center of Lisbon, Pousada de Lisboa sits in the chicest part of Lisbon, making the hotel perfect for discovering this magnificent city. A house of kings and a forum for ministries, the hotel has been completely restored, transforming it into a luxury urban experience.
